FIRST LADY MYSTERY SERIES

South front view of the White House, 1846.
The First Ladies wove their own special thread through the tapestry of our American lives. Many issues have been addressed because of them. Poverty, affordable housing, literacy and human dignity, just to name a few.
National parks and roadways were important to a few of our Ladies.  They have beautified America and shepherded a stronger, more committed and caring government for our natural resources and National Parks.
The White House has been home to these lovely ladies and their families, giving us a glimpse into their lives.  They've cared for 'Our House' as if it were their own.  It's currently on the National Register, which means that it will always be cherished and well preserved for future generations.
The First Ladies belong in our hearts.  They have held our president's heart and mind all through their administration.  We didn't have to like the president nor his politics, but we almost always ended up loving or at least admiring our nation's First Ladies.
